Winter Wheelie Training

Braving the cold to gear up for the record

Been enjoying the show? I’ve been having a blast riding these past few days with the weather being cold, crisp and dry. All the leaves have fallen off the trees and I’m still pedaling hard on the frozen concrete. It is becoming a regimented training effort lately, bundling up with gloves and stocking cap I feel like Rocky preparing for the big fight.

Winter weather wins

It’s gotten too cold out now for my legs and fingers to function well enough to hold a good strong wheelie. With temperatures below freezing, at times, it has cut my wheelie distance and time almost in half. I’m lucky to have a solid thirty minute ride through busy holiday downtown traffic. I’ll be looking for a track to ride in the spring that the World record will go down at. Until then, the training continues.

YouTube Debut

Here’s the first video I’ve had a chance to put together. They’ll get more exciting to watch as my editing skills get better. Enjoy and don’t forget to share the Wheelie For Water message with some friends. Or if you’re feeling real lucky, plug-in your email to the left there… and never miss another Wheelie For Water update.
